Hiatus

I began work on Power Corrupts without really knowing what I was getting into with regards to Ren'Py and Python - my background is in C++ and C#, and working in a procedural language has been very different. I've had to find clumsy work arounds for a lot of the things that'd be a snap in an object oriented language, and I made a lot of mistakes.

Deep, structural mistakes.

Long story short, Power Corrupts is going to need a major overhaul, and possibly a migration to Unity or Godot. That's going to take a lot of time, and I'm currently focused on developing Paragon, a more narrative-focused game set in the same universe. I don't really have the time or focus to juggle multiple projects, so I'm focusing on the one that's going to yield immediate results.

I do plan on getting back to the Power Corrupts sandbox. Honest! But I need to either finish Paragon first, or free up some more time somewhere.

I'll keep you guys updated.

I think Godot would be a great engine for Power Corrupts.

Yeah, I'm really impressed with what I'm seeing so far.
