Thaumarotica

This is version 0.2 of the erotic thriller visual novel Thaumarotica by Double Prolix. As such, be aware that it is still in development, lacking in story, bugfixes, and render quality - but there should be enough meat here to give you an idea of where the project is going.

The biggest hurdle right now is my hardware; I have an old computer with a weak video card, so progress on the visual assets is slow. Developmental releases are planned, first to my supporters on SubscribeStar and Patreon, then to the public here at a later date.

If you like what you see, support the project - the more support the game gets, the sooner I can upgrade my hardware, and the faster new updates will come.

** Planned Content  **

Thaumarotica is a game about discovering the secret occult truths that underlies reality, and eventually becoming a weird sex wizard. It draws from real world mystic sexual practices and a bunch of movies, books, and fictional sources on the topic.

The protagonist starts out as a bit neurotic with some weird sexual hang-ups, and through the course of the game will find himself exposed to strange and deviant lifestyles both mundane and paranormal, and tempted by things he didn't even know existed. How quickly he succumbs depends on the choices you make - will he overcome his sexual neurosis or will they push him into strange new forms of depravity?

Eventually you'll have the opportunity to learn powerful magics to subvert and strengthen the desires of those around you - which will introduce an entirely new moral quandary.

• 8-30-2021 v0.1 - First public release. Implemented coffee with Paige & sickday. Introduced Lisa. Implemented neurosis/stoicism stats, placeholder theme music, font tweaking, ~100 new renders. Resolution upped to 1080p. Switched from png to webp. 
• 7-31-2021 v0.0.1 - First patreon release. Story up to meeting Paige. No option to take a sickday. ~75 renders
